A memorandum of particular events / written by Aaron Bill beginning Jan. 1st, 1833. 1833-1855.

The author's intentions were better than his performance--only three day's events are recorded (January 1, 6, and March 1). The records pertain to the Shaker community, not to Aaron Bill. Most of the volume, thus, consists of blank leaves. Other leaves that are written on cover the years 1839-1855 and deal with produce and livestock at the New Lebanon, N.Y. Shaker community and with the expenses incurred by members of that community while traveling. The travel was for business, pleasure, and visits to other Shaker communities. A very few accounts give some records of sales of brushes and seeds. Inventories for stock and produce held by the Second Order were recorded for 1839-1855. For many of these years, the number of members of the order, broken down into males and females, is also given. The keeper of these records is not identified.

1 vol. (unpaged) ; 20 cm.
